Dancing shoes get a workout on July 2 when Aurora & Zon del Barrio take the Midsummer Night Swing stage. Everything from funk-based classic salsa and merengue to plena, bomba and boogalu are on their playlist. Group founder Aurora Flores and music director David Fernandez explore Latin music from its roots in the African Diaspora to the urban streets of the Big Apple where Latinos live and play. They’ll be joined by legendary Fania pianist Larry Harlow, and Orquesta Broadway’s flute master Eddy Zervigon
